The Genesis of Our Journey
On the beautiful island of Ibiza, the story began with Sheree Black, originally from Belfast, who had spent ten years dancing and working in the entertainment industry. Though she seemed to have everything she thought she wanted, something was missing a sense of purpose that fame and fortune couldn’t provide.
After a decade in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, Sheree made the bold decision to slow down and reconnect with herself. In that space of stillness, she rediscovered her passion for nature, wellness, and conscious self-care. It was during this time that her love for natural skincare took root not just as a ritual, but as a form of healing, both inside and out.
The name Mía was chosen with deep intention. Had her son Cameron been born a girl, he would have been named Mia. In Spanish, “mía” means “mine” a reminder that this brand is not only a piece of Sheree’s heart, but an offering to everyone on their own healing journey. Mía Piel translates to “my skin,” and reflects the belief that our skin is personal, powerful, and worthy of care.
